Accompanied by her trio of Cian Boylan (piano), Kevin Lawlor (drums) and Adrian Jackson (bass), Melanie performed a festive set of jazz songs for the Wexford Arts Centre. The concert was recorded and streamed online.

UN-75 Charter Day. Musical Interlude

The music is inspired by the rich cultural tradition of Gaelic poetry, Irish myths and the works of literary giants such as James Joyce. This concert will also see her joined by dancers using the choreography of Karine Saporta, expressing a new artistic collaboration.

On March 5th, they will perform their unique brand of music which is a fusion of two great traditions – Jazz and Celtic. Their repertoire will include original compositions inspired by Irish literary greats including James Joyce, Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill and Sean O Riordain. The audience will also hear the group’s unique take on jazz standards.
