Melanie O’Reilly Celtic Jazz Ensemble with Karine Saporta’s contemporary dancers from Normandy. on the grounds of Ferns Castle. The concert, entitled the ‘Marriage of Two Cultures’, will premiere a specially commissioned piece inspired by the Gaelic/Norman relationship established in the 12th century by Diarmait MacMurrough, King of Leinster, through to contemporary times.
This special piece, commissioned by the Ferns Heritage Project in collaboration with the Wexford Normandy Cultural Association will be performed by award winning vocalist/composer Melanie O’Reilly and her Celtic Jazz Ensemble. The performance will also feature renowned choreographer Karine Saporta, and her dancers from Normandy.
