Beo i Selskar: Melanie brings her Gaelic Jazz sound to the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉirean 2025. Her unique exhilarating sound fuses two great traditions – Jazz and Celtic.
Her own original compositions are inspired by Irish literature, contemporary Irish Gaelic poetry such as Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill, Seán Ó Ríordáin and the myths and legends of Ireland, creating a contemporary fusion of Irish traditional music mixed with jazz arrangements and improvisation. Utterly contemporary, rooted in tradition, she is accompanied by her stellar ensemble:- Scott Flanigan on piano, Dave Mooney on bass, and special guest from the London-Irish community, James Patrick Gavin on fiddle .
